Why Nilotica Shea Makes Such Beautiful Gifts
Wild-harvested from the shea trees of Northern Uganda, Nilotica shea is naturally rich, creamy, and soft. It melts instantly on contact with skin, leaving a velvety finish that feels like a hug for dry winter hands, lips, and bodies.
We work directly with women-led harvesting groups so that your self-care rituals contribute to dignified livelihoods and regenerative land stewardship. When you gift Nilotica, you’re giving something truly meaningful.

🎁 DIY Gift No. 1
Multi-Season Lip Balm (Beginner Friendly)
This balm is protective enough for winter winds, yet soft and wearable all year long. Make a batch and fill lip balm tins or small jars—perfect for gifting.
🌿 Formula (250 g Batch)
| Ingredient | Percent | Weight (g) |
|---|---|---|
| Beeswax | 30% | 75 g |
| Nilotica Shea | 35% | 87.5 g |
| Natural oil of your choice* | 34% | 85 g |
| Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) | 0.5% | 1.25 g |
| Lip-safe essential oil | 0–0.5% | 0–1.25 g |
*We love moringa oil for deep nourishment, but avocado, sweet almond, jojoba, or olive oil also work beautifully and are easy to find in stores.
🧪 About the essential oils
Use only lip-safe essential oils and keep usage within 0.25–0.5% of the total formula. (Examples: sweet orange, lavender, peppermint—very sparingly.)
🥣 How to Make It (Easy Steps)
- Weigh beeswax, Nilotica shea, and your chosen oil into a heat-safe beaker or jar.
- Melt gently in a warm water bath (avoid boiling). Stir until completely liquified.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly—just until warm, not hot.
- Stir in Vitamin E and essential oil (if using).
- Pour into tins or tubes.
- Let cool until firm, then cap & label.
Done! A deeply nourishing, all-weather lip balm that’s soft, creamy, and gift-ready.
🎁 DIY Gift No. 2
Nilotica + Lavender Body & Massage Butter

This blend makes an incredible massage butter. Nilotica shea melts on contact with warm skin, so you can scoop a small amount into your hands, let it soften, and massage it in. By the time you’re finished, it’s fully absorbed—your skin is soft and moisturized, your muscles relaxed, and you’re wrapped in gentle lavender.
🌿 Formula (250 g Batch)
Base formula: 99% Nilotica Shea + 1% Lavender essential oil
| Ingredient | Percent | Weight (g) |
|---|---|---|
| Nilotica Shea | 99% | 247.5 g |
| Lavender essential oil | 1% | 2.5 g |
🌿 Safe lavender range for body use:
0.5–2% essential oil
(For 250 g, that’s 1.25–5 g total)
We love 1% for a soft, calming scent.
🥣 How to Make It (Easy Steps)
Nilotica + Lavender Body & Massage Butter (No Heat Needed)
- Add Nilotica shea to a clean mixing bowl.
-
Add lavender essential oil (1% is a lovely starting point).
Safe range for body use: 0.5–2%
(In 250 g, that’s 1.25–5 g total.) - Stir slowly and thoroughly until the butter is completely uniform.
- Spoon into jars and label.
That’s it — Nilotica melts at skin temperature, so it becomes a velvety massage oil without heating.
It’s the perfect gift combo: make a jar of the blend, then tuck in a little handwritten coupon for a “Nilotica Shea Massage.” 🥹💛
